For the board staging upgrade kit it stated that the task will take about 4 hours to be completed. In actual case it will probably take at least a day to complete installation, testing and buyoff. One of the time-consuming steps is the drill and tap, as it takes time to tape the thread in order to avoid taper screw head broken inside the structure of machine.
Another thing that will cause the board staging function to failed is the board stopping sensors at the conveyor will be triggered by stencil, adjusting the sensor will be needed. It can be adjusted using a flat head screwdriver at the yellow adjustable switch on the sensors, sensors have to be removed first for the adjustment.
One of the confusing instructions according to 1024459 Rev G Page 11/17 is the cylinders that need to be installed to the conveyor rail. For this example, following the image below, board direction is Left to Right, it showed that cylinder 2, 3, 4 have been installed to the conveyor rail, but actually the cylinder 3 is not used for Left to Right direction. For the sensor signal cables, total will be three cables, for 1 there is no changes needed (one sensor cable), for 2 the sensor cable is from the new pneumatic panel and two pneumatic tubings, for 4 connect the exit sensor cable to the sensor with the cylinder 4 and also two pneumatic tubings, for 3 there is no sensor cable or pneumatic tubing connect to it so the cylinder do not have to be installed.
As according to 1021369_D Schematic, Machine Pneumatic, Edison sheet 7 of 7, there is only two valves controller YV34 and YV35, meaning that the cylinder 3 is not connected to any pneumatic supply.
