Over the years, Electrovert has employed two distinct position transducers as sensors for lead clearance. It is important to recognize the differences between the two, as well as the varying calibration instructions associated with each.
The linear positioning transducer for the solder pot jacking stand is situated within the framework of the jacking stand, positioned beneath the solder pot. Please adhere to the following procedures for accurate calibration.
1. Confirm that the lead clearance has been calibrated correctly in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the machine's Software Manual or the Software help screens.
2. Utilize the machine software to adjust the solder pot to a lead clearance of 12.7 mm (0.50 in.). Measure this distance and make necessary adjustments manually until the measurement is accurate.
3. Check the voltage reading for the transducer by navigating in the software to Modules > Analog IO and reviewing the value for “Jacking Stand.” If this value corresponds with the specified value below, calibration is deemed complete. If it does not, proceed to the subsequent step.
4. The voltage value can be modified by adjusting the threaded eye bolt connected to the linear transducer, which is mounted within the jacking stand's frame. Turning the bolt counter-clockwise will increase the voltage, while turning it clockwise will decrease the voltage. Adjust until the value aligns with the specified value below, and then securely re-tighten the lock nut on the eye bolt.
5. It is essential to re-calibrate the lead clearance following any adjustments made.
